Amir: The Light Within

Overview

Growing up a Lesbian in Damascus, Syria, Amir (then Amira) was the final child in a family of boys - someone who carried both his grandmother's name and her face. Amir: The Light Within, is a tender portrait of Amir's gender-affirming transition, with all its grief and love, and the light he has carried through both.
